Answer #2:
data recovery can be in the thousands of dollars depends on if the info can be access, one of my drives was making a clicking sound no access, took it out use a hammer tap the drive reinstalland once the drive boot my system and loaded windows took my info off the drive to a external drive
now it might not work for you but give it a try softly tap the sides of the hdd
Answer #3:
A lot of money! the only cheap way if you know what you are doing is to buy identical drives and swap the platters to the new drive but it is precision work but could save you hundreds, alternatively buy a similar used drive and swap the circuit boards easier but still tricky** Powered by Yahoo Answers
