Your videos earn the number of views that they deserve. It seems that the problem is that you've overrated the worth of your videos and believe that their views should higher than they are just based on the sheer numbers of YouTube users.

Sorry to break it to you, but just because there are millions of viewers using YT each day, it doesn't mean that they'll watch crappy videos. People want to see good videos, not crap. If you make good videos, you'll get good view numbers. If you make crap videos, you'll get crap numbers.

So which are you; good numbers or crap numbers?

The most effective way in getting more views is making good videos. You should also have the appropriate tags for your videos so people will find what they are looking for.

Most people wont watch random videos unless they are by well known users, have a considerable amount of views, or they are under 5 minutes, if a video is over 5 minutes, most likely you wont get many views as people get bored too quickly.

Also you should have a witty title (for example if your video is about cats, something with the word pussy lol... hey what can i say, sex sells) a friend of mine on youtube who doesnt get many views other than his subscribers, added a profane word to his video and he had over 100,000 views within 2 months

Another way of getting yourself recognised is by sending out PM's to random people with your videos, if they like it, they may watch (the cons of that is most people do not like getting random emails from people whoring themselves so i wouldnt recommend it as there is a good chance they will leave you hate comments.
