How do you achieve the effect where portions of a picture are colored & the rest black and white in Photoshop?

An example maybe is a picture where guy is poking his head out of car. Only his head is black and white while the rest of the picture is colored

Why are some Americans against President Obama?

When George Bush Jr. is the reason that people have sold their houses,applying for government assistance, sold their cars, switch to smaller cars, lost their jobs, closing businesses, sold items at the pawn shop, and unemployment is on the rise again! So, why are people angry at President Obama for?Its going to take probably the whole 4 years or so to get some things back on track!

If you want to get angry at someone get angry at old George for leaving the economy in a wreck! America was going down hill when he first set foot in the White House! Blame good ol' George!

My Mazda 2 is due for its 1st service, where should i go?

I have a Mazda 2, due in for its first service. I know Mazda don't issue a service book with new cars, as it's all done on a database. Is it best to go to a Mazda dealer?

I've been quoted £117 by Mazda, but don't know if this is a good price or not (i'm such a girl!)

Any help from anyone with a newish Mazda, or anyone who just knows would be grately appriciated!!

Can I claim mileage on my taxes for this purpose?

I work for a company that often sends me out to job sites to do contractual work for clients. The only time my company compensates me for mileage is if I go out of town. During the past year and a half, I have been contracted out to 1 company each and every day that requires me to travel double the distance I would have normally travelled if i was at my office. I am using my own car, and my employer is not compensating me for the extra travel I've done over the last year and a half. Can I claim this on my taxes?

Hi, okay so have to write a narrative essay for school. And I'm writing about the first time i went driving...(basically my dad left the car for a min to get something from the house and i decided to drive anyway and hit a pole..stupid i know lol) so this is my intro what do you think of it? any suggestions on things i can add or change? and how should i start my first paragraph??

Some people claim that women can't drive. I, like many others am very skeptical of this assertion. However, recent events have caused me to see some truth in this incredibly chauvinistic idea. What most sixteen or seventeen year olds would agree on, regardless of gender, is that there is nothing that can beat the excitement that comes with driving for the first time. A heady mix of emotions: fear, dread, excitement, the feeling of independence, of maturity...it's all there. Once you get behind the wheel of the car for the first time, you know you have taken that first step to adulthood and nothing says "I'm an adult" better than being seated in the drivers seat...

Would keeping my iPod plugged into the cigarette lighter while driving drain my car battery?

I'm getting my car battery replaced again after only one year. I don't know much about cars but I do know the battery life should be a bit longer than that. Just curious...I play music on my iPod (plugged into the cigarette lighter) via FM transmitter all the time while i'm driving, which simultaneously keeps the iPod charged. Would this cause my car's battery life to diminish, or does the charge come from the alternator? For the record, I never play the iPod while my car is not running.

Thanks so much everyone. I'll definitely have the alternator looked at. The dealership installed the new battery just now and also did a multi-point inspection on the vehicle...doesn't say that they checked the alternator though. My warranty is set to expire soon, too...hopefully they're not conveniently forgetting to tell me so they can nail me to the cross later on.

Is Obama kidding with the Jimi Hendrix quote?

Obama has said he has every type of musical artist on his Ipod. I find it hard to believe he never heard a Jimi Hendrix song and is trying to act like a line from one of his songs was an "unprepared remark". Are the Republicans supposed to reply with a song of their own like Smooth Criminal by Michael Jackson? Do you feel Obama is turning the office of the President of the United States into a farce with his car analogies and now his musical quotes?

I am really confused about what to do in my relationship...opinions?

Me and my girlfriend have been goin out for a year and seven months. Our issue right now is that my parents believe that she been cheating on me due to rumors from people from the church they go to. They have heard that she been kissing guys from her school, that she been seeing another guy behind my back, that she is only using me. This has been going on for a while but now it has gotten to the point where they don't want us to be together due to these rumors. I tried bringing her and her mother to talk to them to clear things up, but it only made it worse. My parents said that everything that came out of her mother's mouth was a lie. So I'm completely lost now. When I asked my friend's of what they seen or heard, 1 said that they HEARD that she been with someone else, that she been cheating on me. My other friend said that he heard from another friend that she saw her go in a car with another guy. Me and my girlfriend are still together but I don't know what to do. With the way things are going, I'm not sure how much longer this is going to last. Can anyone ofyou help me because I really need answers...

Why don't cops use fluffy handcuffs?

If they take ordinary handcuffs and put that fluffy stuff over it that they use on all the cheap pairs they sell in the novelty stores they could have something that was much safer and more comfortable, as well as completely humiliating for all the perps they arrest. Just imagine how a gang leader is going to feel as he's forced into the back of a squad car wearing fluffy pink handcuffs. What do you think?
Pops: why? its the same handcuffs as they use nowadays - it just has fluffy pink stuff over it. How is it going to make it any easier to escape from?

teaching to drive when on a ban?

im learning to drive and have my test next month, basically 1 of my friends can come out in my car in the evenings to help me practice manuvers etc, only thing is she is on a ban for no insurance until end of next month, can she still supervise? or would it be illegal? ive searched everywere and cant find an answer

Is there anything wrong with being a male English teacher?

I graduated from Florida State University with a Bachelor of Science in Political Science and English Literature. I'm very proud of the degree, but I favor my English major. That's why I now teach English. I could teach Civics, which is perhaps a traditionally more manly discipline, but I prefer English Literature. I just really like the language.

I've been single for a while now and I'm not sure if women are turned off by my profession. I don't make very much money, but I barely have any bills either--a one-room townhouse, a dog, some fuel for my car, and food money. I don't hesitate to tell women what I do for a living and I don't think it's ever hurt my chances, but I have been single for a while.

Do you think women are turned off by the fact that I teach high school English? Is there anything inherently wrong with guys teaching English?

i drive a honda civik gears are [D4][D3][2] and the rest for parking and stuff BUT i donno which one does what? i usually use D4 am i doing right? what happens if i use D3? is it ok if i change gear in an automatic car while speeding? explain please

can i travel in the fourth week of pregnancy?

So, my period is due in 3 days, and i have some symptoms of pregnancy, i have 2 travel to my mom's place in 3 or 4 days. is it safe for me to travel during that time... it takes around 4 and a half hours by car. will it help if we travel slowly and also take some breaks in between the travel?

See I think if someone breaks into my house armed or not I should have the right to shoot,if someone steals my car I should have the right to shoot.Why can't I protect what I earned in our "free" country?
