Old Skateboarding Movie HELP!!?

I have seen this small clip from a skateboarding movie and what happens is these bunch of 4 or 5 kids rock up to pink motel and ask if they have a pool, the pool is empty so they. skate it. This movie is not "Grind" even though they do exactly what I said. The movie I'm talking is about some where between 70-85s. What is the Movie??

How long did it take you to learn how to ollie on a skateboard?

I have only been skating for like 2 hours haha. . . I get the hang of it and turn easily and stuff..but now I want to learn how to ollie...I tried four times so far and I know it wil take a couple of days to learn how to do it. So just wondering how long it took you, and if you have any tips on how to do it better. thanks :)

Awkward Stares and Smiles?

I need help. First off I'm a guy/ 20 years old. I don't have a g/f. I have issues that kind of prevent that from happening right now. Need teeth work done, and a couple other small things. To the question. A lot of the time, wherever I'm at besides home, I give people the most awkward looks. Like as if I'm smiling but I'm really not. I'll have a face with no expression, but it always looks like I want to smile. I always stare at PPL, I try not to, because when I do they give me this look like "Why do you have that weird grin on your face?" And then they look at me like "He's crazy, he can't have a g/f if he can't even look someone in the eyes without this cheesy almost unnoticeable grin." I've tried to help it. I can't really. I try to make myself upset so my face wouldn't show my grin. Nope, still there. I stare a lot at chicks, but I can smile and say hi. I'm not THAT AWKWARD or GAY, and I don't even look that bad. I have like 1 pimple on my whole face. So I know i'm not that weird. I just feel like I'm going crazy on the inside. The stare - and - smile thing makes ppl think I'm stupid. I also have a very awkward walk. When I'm just walking I always stumble around. Not like falling over just like switching sides of the sidewalk. A better way to put it is I never look like I'm in sync. I always look like I'm loosing my footing.. And ppl stare at me for that too, like "Is that kid crazy". But I do skateboard a lot so that could just be the fact that I've taken 1 too many falls, and my leg bones are somewhat out of place. "hurt my hip bone recently"

Is it bad that my heroes have been killed or killed themselves or had their life go bad?

My three main heroes are Jay Adams, he was the spark to skateboarding that kept it alive and without him skateboarding would've just been a toy and a little kiddy fad and would've died out a long time ago, but he knew what was right and saw his best friends skating for money and fame while he just skated for fun.
Another is Kurt Cobain because he was so original and had an open and creative mind and was a hell of a musician, but shot up too much heroine and shot himself in the face with a shotgun because he was depressed. But even if he didn't shoot himself in the face he would've died from OD'ing from too much heroine.
And John Lennon because he was a motivational singer. He sang for peace and was actually bringing peace until one of his crazed fans shot him in the back after he got his autograph.

Is this a bad thing? It seems relevant that I'm a teenager and all the people who influence my life with their stories and songs either have died or thrown their life away from doing what they thought was right.

what happens if you dont see a doctor for a fracture?

i looked at the symptoms and im pretty sure i fractured my knee cap from skateboarding. i cant afford to see a doctor, and i have no medical insurance cause i also cannot afford it. even if i walkd in the doctors office i would get all these med bills and i would probably never be able to pay off... so i plan on letting it heal by itself and not work it too hard... what might happen if i do this?

my knee popped randomly and its swollen! how can i fix this?

i was skateboarding and i fell and my knee did this wierd thing where it bent out and an angle or something (it felt like the lowerleg popped out of place from the upper leg and my knee cap was all jellowy feeling) and it hurt like hell immidiately afterwards. after about 20 minutes it still hurt but i was able to walk (barely) and whenever i bend the knee it hurts like fuck. i can still walk on it and wiggle my toes and stuff. now, the area around the knee cap is swollen and it looks kinda like my lower leg is slightly under my upper leg whenever i try straightening it out. (but not where u can easily tell... idk and it only hurts in the knee area when i move it. what is this? broken bone? popped out of place?


and please tell me how to fix it at home... we're poor and we cant afford to go see a doctor and i have no medical insurance...
and no my knee is definitely not deformed... it prolly looks wierd most likely due to the swelling

Here are some questions that I am concerned about:

1. Do you need "special" shoes to ride a skateboard? (Airwalk)?
2. Do you know any brand named skateboards that are cheap, yet work well?
3. I only have one skateboard park near me (outside one) what will I do during the winter???

Nose pierced for 10th birthday?

My daughter will be 10 in November. She desperately wants her nose pierced.

A little background on my daughter:

She has always been a tomboy, has been skateboarding since she was 5 and pretty good at it too, she is one of 6 black children in her school, only listens to Classic Rock/Heavy Metal, went to a Metallica show last year, LOVED IT, has gauged her ears for the past 2 years (she decided to stop at a 10 gauge), buzzed her hair - leaving chin length bangs, dyed black and red. Saved her allowance to buy a custom skateboard ($200) after she split her board. Her style has always been a mix of skater and rocker and she loves and takes pride in her style and uniqueness.

Knowing my soon-to-be 10 year old for 10 years, I know this is something she really wants, she is mature enough to handle and wants to get because she wants it, not because her friends have it (which none do). I have decided to let her do it - IF I can find a place that will do it.

I want to know your honest, but polite opinions. Do you think 10 is too young and WHY?

Alyssa -An 8year old attempted suicide in her class last year, 2 other 4th graders were found with vodka and puking in the school bathroom, other 4th grade girls wear clothes that say SEXY...If piercings and dying her hair is the worst thing my child wants to do, then I'll gladly let her express herself waayyy too much. (and the guages are smaller than a pencil eraser)
Alex- GREAT POINTS!!!!!! And that is why I feel so strongly about letting her do it. When I was 10 my mom let me get my cartilage pierced and I still have it. I got my eyebrows pierced at 12 - parents weren't pleased but believe in self expression as I do, and I still have them. I had all of my piercings and all but 3 tattoos before I was 18 and don't regret a single one. We aren't talking tattoos (just yet lol), just a small hole in her nose.
